Does Adele Ever Have A Good Day?

When Adele first hit the radio, wasn’t that a breath of fresh air? The girl can actually sing, unlike the desperate, less vocally-inclined shams masquerading as musicians who lower the standard for musical excellence everywhere. And lawd, if she doesn’t have fantastic hair.

But since first I heard her belt her soul out, my emotional stability has taken a turn for the worse. Does she ever have a good day? Because I sure don't, whenever I listen to her. It’s like every relationship she has bites the dust with unusually traumatic repercussions. It may not be healthy to listen to ‘Someone Like You’ so many times that you find yourself gripping the steering wheel, white-knuckled, struggling to hold back a tear, thinking of loves lost and dreams shattered. That’s when you know it’s time to switch the station.

If the day ever comes that Adele decides to write a song in a major key, I may return as one of the faithful, but for now, I’ll choose happiness over her ice cream binge-inducing ballads.
